My last run was the 27th of June. Since then it has been 26 gym sessions, five hikes, four kilos off and no running at all, with a half marathon booked for October.
A spontaneous day trip to the Lakes with Michaela. 13km around the High Street fells above Haweswater, five Wainwrights, and the kind of weather worth dropping everything for.
Four days in the Lakes based in Coniston, three weeks after my last run. Harter Fell, Skiddaw, six fells above Ullswater and Grasmere, with an Achilles that still will not let me run.
A birthday trip through Rome, Siena, Montepulciano, Florence and Pisa. Four runs with good company, some of the best views I have run through, and an Achilles I should have been resting.
1:38:49 at the Hartlepool Half, in my home town, with my mum and Michaela running it too. Through 10K in 44:08 on a hot day, and paying for it from 12K onwards.

The Manchester Marathon finish line was three weeks ago. On Saturday I ran a parkrun PB. This is what happened in between.
